Only four more days

Claire’s back in Wisconsin again, and everyone here in Boston is missing the heck out of her. She’s coming back on Wednesday, though. I can’t wait for her to get back. It’s been tougher this time around, because we couldn’t even talk on the phone. She was up in northern Wisconsin at Boyd’s Mason Lake Resort, where part of the glory is that there is no cellphone service. It’s a peaceful and beautiful place, complete with fishing, swimming (if you dare brave the muskies), copious amounts of delicious food, and loons. If you’ve never heard/seen a loon before, you’re missing out. They make a haunting, somewhat forlorn call that puts me in a great state of mind whenever I hear it. It makes you feel like you’re really experiencing the world; alive! In any case, I was up there until last Monday evening, but had to come back for work. Claire took advantage of her summer respite and stayed the whole week with her family. I’m sure she’s feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, but I’m positive it was hard to leave!
